Netflix and Books Tag

Saturday 18 June 2016
This tag is hosted by Novel Ink and Bookmark Lit and I HIGHLY recommend that you go and check out their posts, because they're amazing and also they explain the rules better than I ever could. As soon as I saw the title of this tag I knew that it would somehow end up on my blog. If there are three things I love it is Netflix and Books and Tags. I don't want to delay from this post any further so I'm just going to leave this introduction here. I'm not entirely sure if these answers have to specifically be from Netflix but I'm not sure enough of my shows are on there so I'm going to go outside of Netflix for this one.

Orange Is The New Black: Unlikeable Characters

I chose this book for Unlikeable Characters because I really didn't like the two main characters in this book. I just found them to be way too pretentious and really difficult to connect with which drastically altered my ability to enjoy this book. And Orange Is The New Black because I actually despise Piper Chapman.

Jane The Virgin: Your Ship Sank Or Didn't Happen

Hello! Chaolena shipper over here! Honestly, I'm not that bitter about it. I love Rowan and Aelin and I truly believe that Sarah J. Maas went in the right direction with this one. I'm still holding onto my Crown of Midnight hopes and dreams though. And I will go to my grave swearing that Jane and Rafael belong together. Michael, who?

The 100: Best Cast of Characters/Friendships

The characters throughout this series have the best relationship with each other in the entire world. I love their interactions and their adventures and just how deeply they care about one another even if they haven't known each other that long. It's just beautiful. The same goes for The 100. I adore how they all communicate and interact with each other and I love seeing The Original 100 doing what they do best (kicking butt and supporting each other). Nothing warms my cold heart more than that.

Reality TV: Hate That You Love/Guilty Pleasure

It is probably no surprise that The Selection is my answer for this one. I just love how completely dramatic and OTT it is. Also it sort of reads like Reality TV which is my other answer for this one. I could watch Reality TV all day, every day. It's pretty much the biggest weakness of mine. Especially America's Next Top Model.

The Walking Dead: Long Series You Loved

It's not secret how much I adore The Mortal Instruments series so it's also not a shock that this my answer. The Walking Dead hasn't finished yet but it does have 6 seasons that I marathoned recently and yep, I still love it. It's just so good, even when it has it's rough patches. Besides, Rick will always be my lover.

Glee: All The Feels

I sobbed so hard, and frequently, throughout this book. Even when it was happy and uplifting, I was crying because it was happy and uplifting. It was an emotional rollercoaster. Just like Glee, which I am rewatching and can barely go an episode without shedding a few tears.

Pretty Little Liars: Bad Ending

I read this book a long while ago now and I can't remember much about it, but I do remember that I wasn't a huge fan of the ending. I just felt that it was very abrupt and I didn't like it at all. Pretty Little Liars hasn't finished yet but the ending of the last season just made me laugh. It tried so hard to be intense and dramatic but it really feel flat for me.

The Magicians: The Raven Cycle

I adore The Raven Cycle. That's all that needs to be said. Honestly, I don't really watch many TV Shows that fit under this category. I was wracking my brain trying to think of some that I'd seen but none were occurring to me so I used The Magicians because a friend has recommended it to be and said that she really enjoyed it.

Eye Candy: Left You Wanting More

I really and truly was not ready for this book to end. If there is a book that could go on forever I would ask for it to be this one. I want prequels, epilogues, novellas, everything. Just like Eye Candy. I had decided to watch the show because everyone was talking about it and I figured that it would be something I could get into. So I watched it, and I finished it, and I remembered that they weren't renewing for Season 2. And I screamed. I literally screamed. HOW CAN THEY JUST NOT RENEW IT FOR SEASON 2? IT WAS SO. SO GOOD.

Fear The Walking Dead: Series That Should've Ended Earlier

I haven't finished the Vampire Academy series yet, mostly because I'm a bit annoyed at how Blood Promise ended. They could have just tied the whole series up then are there but no, they had to drag it out for two more books. Fear The Walking Dead may only be in it's second season and I think that's just a testament to how bad it has gotten. The first season was ok, and I could let it slide because it was about how the zombie apocalypse started but now it just feels like every episode is just an episode of nothing and I'm tired of it. Either give me action or cancel the show.

The 100: Should Have A Spin Off

Basically I would do anything for more stories in the Fangirl world. I would love to know more about Levi's home life. Maybe even a spin-off detailing Levi and Reagan before Cath came into their lives. Now that would be interesting. Or even more about Art and his story. I just want it all. And with The 100, I know I'm cheating by using it again, but I would adore a spin-off that centered around their life on the ark before everything happened. Or even about life on earth before the apocalypse. Mostly the ark though, because I would love to know how the kids even went to the sky box in the first place, and who they were friends with and what they were like. I just need it, okay? Someone make it happen. Oh, and preferably not written by JRoth. Thanks.

Full House: The Luxe

I think this one is pretty self-explanatory. I'm not too keen on Historial-Fiction in general so I don't have a lot to say about this one. Does Full House count? I mean it's set in the 80s/90s because that's when it was made. So, I suppose it does.

Cheerleaders: Couldn't Stop Reading

I literally couldn't put this book down, and the only reason I did is because I was at my friends house about to watch The 100 Season 2 Finale. I still think about this book at least twice a day because it was so damn good. Cheerleaders is a bit of a different show considering it's actually aired on a YouTube channel but I can't get enough of it. It's so interesting to see how hard these athletes work and how they manage to build and maintain such wonderful and steady friendships and keep up with school even when they train so hard. These kids even move across country to be able to cheer with SMOED which is incredible to me.

Friends: Made You Laugh Out Loud

These books are absolutely, undeniably hilarious and they never fail to put a smile on my face. I love reading about Harriet's (Mis)adventures on days where it's a bit gloomy outside in London and I need something to pick me up. Also, Chandler never fails to make me cry with laughter.

Jane The Virgin: Favourite Book Boyfriend

No one, and I mean no one will ever beat my Levi. Nothing else needs to be said. I have spent many a night dreaming/crying about Rafael so this one doesn't really come as a surprise. I would totally chose Alec (but he's gay), Rick (kinda busy right now), Bellamy (super in love already) or Murphy (super in love with the guy who is super in love) but they're pretty unavailable.

The 100: Favourite Villain

I think President Snow is a bit of an obvious, typical answer but he is just one of the most terrifying villains that I've ever read and I think that really stands as a testament to his character. For The 100 I'm choosing Finn because he's honestly the scariest villain in the universe, and one that we've all encountered: 'The Nice Guy'.

Full House: Best Family/Parents

One of the biggest reasons I love To All The Boys I've Loved Before so much is because of the family dynamic. The argue, they tease each other but they love each other unconditionally at the same time. It's so real and I love it so freaking much. This is also true for Full House. Its just so beautiful to watch.

So I don't want to tag anyone specific to do this but please give it a shot because it is so much fun (and harder than it looks).

  1. I hate Piper. Someone should just shank her, so the series can move on to way more interesting characters.

CHAOL AND CELAENA FOREVER. I do agree with you about her moving on with Rowan, but my heart will always be with this ship.
