For those of you who were here during the Visual Week I did last May you'd know that I love typography and lettering especially when it comes to bookish things. One of the things that falls into that category is bookish desktop wallpapers. I'm a bit obsessed when it comes to having a variety of wallpapers to choose from so for all of those like-minded people out there I'm going to share two of my favourite creators of said desktop beauties.
The first blog I'm going to feature is The Social Potato. I love how different and creative each one of these wallpapers and designs are. While I haven't read very many of the books that are made into wallpapers I can still admire their beauty and there are still a few non-specific bookish wallpapers which I adore and make my laptop a little bit prettier. Here are a few of my absolute faves.
The last blog, and by no means least, is The Novel Hermit. The Everything Leads To You had been my wallpaper for at least six months and it was one that I never got tired of. Cee's designs are so simple and gorgeous and GAH I could look at them all day. Once again, here are a few of my favourites. (Same as above, if you click on the pictures it'll take you to where you can save/download them).
I love the wallpaper from both girls, especially The social potato because they've quoted some of my favorite books :)
ReplyDeleteAs I said I haven't read a lot of them but they make me want to so bad
DeleteI really love both the designs that these blogs have created! And the one that Cee made for I'll Give You the Sun is GORGEOUS <3
ReplyDeleteI have two others wallpaper designers I really like: Aentee from Read at Midnight, and Hafsah from Icey Books! Their designs are really gorgeous.
I get so jealous of people who can make pretty design-y things! XD But at least they are kind enough to share with those who have no skills <3
I actually just switched to her I'll Give You the Sun wallpaper haha!
DeleteThank you for the recommendations I will surely be checking those blogs out.
Me too! I wish I could be as creative/just in general GOOD as those people but alas I will just be grateful that they share with us all.
i don't change my wallpaper up often but these are tempting me! i usually go for simple pattern-based wallpapers so that it doesn't look too busy but these are really really pretty. the stephanie perkins one would be great for the holidays! and i agree with chiara, aentee is another great designer when it comes to wallpapers! jen at pop goes the reader has some great ones too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recommendation, Annie! (I actually did use the stephanie perkins one all throughout the holidays hahahaha, great minds!)
DeleteI follow both these blogs and had no idea they did wallpapers like these! I'll definitely be checking them out and fawning over them now!! :) Love how pretty they are omgg ^_^
ReplyDeleteGeraldine @ Corralling Books
