Book: Frostbite
I finally started reading The Vampire Academy series in November and while the first book seemed to be a little lacklustre Frostbite did not disappoint. It reminded me of everything that I used to love in the paranormal books I read when I was 13. Action, absurdity (is that a word?), a killer love triangle, angst, angst and more angst. It was everything I needed and more.
Product: Mugs
Mugs are probably my favourite product every month because they hold the one thing that I cherish the most. Tea. But actually, this is one mug in particular and it's actually a mug that I bought at Disneyland. The mug is *drum roll, please* a Jack Skellington mug and it is absolutely gorgeous. I fell in love the second I saw it and I instantly knew that it was not a purchase I could miss out on.
Movie: Ratatouille
I did go and see Mockingjay pt 2 and it left me a little disappointed which is why I can't put it in this post, I'm afraid. I rewatched Ratatouille because it had been a while since I'd seen it and honestly it just reminded me of how great of a film it is. It's funny, creative, a little bizzare and set in Paris. There is nothing more you need.
TV Show: Jane the Virgin
(Excuse me while I cry). I haven't seen the second series yet so please no spoilers in the comments. I want to keep this section short because I will start yelling and I will get emotional and it will get ugly. I wasn't expecting to end up loving the show as much as I did. It's completely ridiculous and that's exactly why I love it. I just needed something funny to relax with and it ended up being a) one of the funniest shows I've seen and b) my absolute downfall because I skirted my responsibilities and marathoned the whole series in practically one sitting. Oh, and Rafael is everything to me.
Music: Justin Bieber/Troye Sivan/The 1975
Justin Bieber dropped his album and Love Yourself is one of the best songs to have ever graced my eardrums. In times of music need and writing inspiration I've found myself listening to Troye's Wild EP over and over and over again. Trust me, it never gets old, it just somehow gets more and more beautiful every time I listen.
Event: The 1975/University Apps
I saw my friend, Aagya, for the first time since she went off to university and we headed into the venue for our second The 1975 gig together and let me tell you: we thought it was amazing the first time but this was 10000x better. I sweat and I cried and I danced and I screamed and it was one of the best nights that I've had in a long time. The lighting for this gig was top notch, too. I just couldn't believe how utterly gorgeous their set was. If you've read my last few posts you may know that I've been stressing about my university applications. Well, THEY'RE DONE. I've finally gotten it all submitted and I'm so glad that it's done so that I can have that bit of extra pressure off my shoulders before christmas comes.
i can't wait for you to finish vampire academy natalie! none of the books really blew me away but the story is just SO interesting and addicting. like it is good, not great in every single category except for the STORY which is about as interesting and exciting as they get, at least in my opinion. also YES JUSTIN BIEBER AND RATATOUILLE AND MUGS. ALL MY FAVOURITE THINGS.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving it so far! I'm trying to get over the rollercoaster that was Shadow Kiss before I move on to Blood Promise like I'm not quite sure if I'm entirely ready to let go of Dimitri yet.
DeleteA Jack Skellington mug, that sounds so good :D
ReplyDeleteRatatouille is such a fun movie.
Yeay, all done with your applications, now it's time to relax!
It literally has his name inscribed on the inside, I'm so heart eyes over it.
DeleteThe only thing that would make Ratatouille better is if it was Catatouille.
