Bookstagrams - Visual Week Day Two

I spend a lot of time on Instagram scrolling through pictures of celebrities, Michael Clifford, my friends and, of course, books. This, undoubtedly, has led to me having quite a few favourite bookstagram accounts that I want to share with you today on Day Two of Visual Week.


Asti has a gorgeous instagram account. I adore that all of her photos are taken outside and they always look absolutely stunning. Asti has one of those accounts that I could scroll through for hours just staring at all of the pretty.


Just look at how pretty these all are! The colours, the nature, THE BOOKS. The fact that Heir of Fire seems to be on a damp floor of some sort does scare the living bejeezus out of me but it's almost so pretty that I don't even care.

Once again this is just another instagram that I could spend hours going through and gushing over all of the pretty pictures. I love the simplicity of this account, and well, look at that bio - it's PERFECT. Crini also makes the cutest bookmarks in the world (look out for them on another Visual Week post coming soon).


I adore the shadows in these pictures and the white background makes it all look so crisp and clean. As I said before the bookmarks have me all heart eyes and as soon as I get some money I'm going to order a bunch (my favourites are The Raven Cycle ones - because, reasons).

Emily has bucketloads (boatloads? countryloads?) of followers and I think that just speaks for itself. There isn't much to say about her account other than it's absolutely stunning so just sit back and appreciate.


Look at these colours! And the simplicity of it all even though Emily uses props. I just love it. I can't stand how much I love it.

I can't do a bookstagram post without talking about Sana's instagram. It's so minimal and clean and bright and gorgeous. Honestly, It's instagram goals.


I just *clenches fist* love it so fucking much. Also, let's just take a minute to appreciate how pretty her Harry Potter series is. I'm tempted to start the series just so I can have these beauties on my shelf.

    You named four of my favorite IG accounts too. When I look at their Feed and mine.. They inspire me to make better pictures, which is always great :)

    Awww thanks Natalie! I've been such a slacker lately when it comes to bookstagram, but I miss it so. I think my problem is just laziness - I only like taking pictures outside (it's like my theme, haha) but actually going outside with twenty books to take pictures requires a lot of effort. :P

    Oh, and Heir of Fire is actually sitting on top of a wood table that was in Dave's backyard when I was living with him. I'm sure it was a little damp from rain, but it wasn't wet enough to damage the book so don't worry! (Not that I probably would've let that stop me. I don't really protect my books at all when I'm throwing them around outside to take pics... whoops!)

    And yay for being in such great company, I follow Sana, Emily, and Crini on Instagram as well!

      I've tried it a few times and it's definitely not something I'd do often hahaha. It's a LOT of work - especially when you don't have a car or any handy woods/green areas around.

      I'm glad that the beauty is safe! (here's a secret: I once did a book photoshoot thing in a woods near my old school for some college work and I dropped Heir of Fire into a pile of muddy leaves and I almost cried).

      Glad you like the same accounts that I do - not that I'm surprised ;)

    I love this post! And the profiles featured in it, ahhh! Lovely photos. I love how creative they are, when it comes about taking photos of books. They also make me want to have physical copies of books, *cries* Great post! :)

    I love Asti's, Crini's, and Emily's Instagrams because so much pretty! I like how everyone of us have a kind of a theme we follow. Asti does gorgeous outside photos, Emily's Instagram is just so homey and lovely and Crini's feed is so crisp and clean.

    Ahhh, I feel so flattered, Natalie! I feel like I kind of fall short when looking at others' photos because how do you compare but I know minimalism works best for me. I love clean, crisp photos 'cause there's so much satisfaction in looking at such photos. I'm getting there or trying to. ;)

    I have so many bookstagrammers I follow and love photos of! I'll just mention some from the top of my head: hernovels, faereads, insidethebookreader, xcrini, abookishheart, pleasedtoreadyou, bookmarauder, booksss.0k, astreeeaneee, paperiot, livresque, behcunanan, aaaand ziba.reads. Seeee, too many LOL.

      I try to mix up my photos but I think the minimalist (aka against white blanket/white sheets) look works best for me because no matter how hard I try, I just cannot use props to save my life. They're so hard! I took a picture of a pretty pink book all about makeup and used some makeup products as props and it turned out well but I think that's about the only one. You're not alone!

      Just followed all of them! Their feeds are too pretty.
